The Huntsville-Madison County Rescue Squad is an all volunteer organization dedicated to saving lives.

We are one of the primary rescue agencies in Madison County, Alabama. We currently have one station located in the center of Madison County's largest city, Huntsville. From this station we staff 1 advanced rescue truck with 2 to 3 crew members 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We also staff a second advanced rescue truck when the primary truck is busy working rescues.

The Rescue Squad has been operating since 1963. We were the second agency (after Birmingham) to purchase the "Jaws of Life". Since that time, we have expanded our equipment and training to provide many areas of rescue.

Our primary mission is to serve all of Madison County with quality rescue services. These services include the extrication of persons from confinement or entrapment in motor vehicles, machines, or confined areas such as buildings or trenches.

Along with extrication rescue, we also provide:

We continuely strive to improve our existing services as well as develope new skills and capabilities to provide other specialized rescue services.
