The tornadoes of April 27, 2011 had a devastating effect on the citizens of Alabama. Many organizations as well, as individuals are helping those affected by the tornadoes. If you are able to donate your time or money, please do so. Below is a link to one such organization, the Red Cross, where you can make a donation. Your donations to the Red Cross or to any number of other organizations who are helping those affected, is greatly appreciated and needed. Also provided, is a link to our Rescue Squad online donation service, where your donation will enable the squad to continue providing rescue services for Huntsville and all of Madison County. The Rescue Squad also has a door-to-door fundraising effort that runs through out the year, utilizing the Excalibur Company. They are currently visiting the Moores Mill communities. Thank you.

The Huntsville-Madison County Rescue Squad, Inc. was organized in 1963 by a small group of concerned citizens interested in assisting local authorities with the provision of first aid and rescue services. After originally beginning operations out of an old school bus, the Rescue Squad members built their first station at 820 Cook Avenue in Huntsville, Alabama.
Today, the all-volunteer Rescue Squad is based on Cook Avenue and is an active part of the public safety community, providing rescue services, such as technical rescue and extrication, water rescue and recovery, rough terrain search and rescue, and EMS First Response.
