The Huntsville-Madison County Rescue Squad, Inc. is an all volunteer agency. Our budget comes from door to door solicitation of private citizens, NOT from mil tax monies (property tax). We have contracted a vendor, Mutual Aid, to do this for us and they are currently working in the MOORES MILL AREA.
If you have a question regarding the legitimacy of someone at your door or comment regarding your interaction with them, please call the Squad's Treasurer, Andrew Phelps, at 256-509-8606.
Be aware of the weather in your area. If flooding is happening, do NOT drive on flooded roads. Most of the rescues performed at Christmas 2015 were for people who drove into flooded areas and had to be rescued. Please visit this NOAA Website to learn more about flooded roads and safety.
The Huntsville-Madison County Rescue Squad, Inc. was organized in 1963 by a small group of concerned citizens interested in assisting local authorities with the provision of first aid and rescue services.
Today, the all-volunteer Rescue Squad is based on Cook Avenue and is an active part of the public safety community, providing rescue services, such as technical rescue and extrication, water rescue and recovery, rough terrain search and rescue, and EMS First Response.
Would you like to help us save a life?
There are two ways you can help. Method one is to help keep our services going by making a tax deductable donation. To make a donation, please click on the Paypal Donation graphic below. We appreciate all you can do to help us save lives.
The other method is by joining our dedicated group of rescuers. The Squad is looking for citizens of the community who would like to help their neighbors. Fill out our Online Interest Card for more information and we will contact you and let you know how you can help.
