The Rescue Squad operates round the clock, staffed entirely by volunteers who tirelessly serve Madison County. We are the first responders for all motor vehicle accidents involving trapped individuals, entangled machinery, or perilous water-related emergencies. Alongside HEMSI, the local ambulance service, we also offer assistance in medical and public emergencies as required.

Our commitment to the community comes without a price tag; we never send bills for our services. Instead, we rely on your generous support. Please consider making a donation today.

Who We Are Founded in 1963, the Madison County Rescue Squad has proudly served the citizens of Madison County for more than six decades

Early in our history, we became the second agency in the state of Alabama to acquire the Jaws of Life, helping establish a tradition of innovation, preparedness, and dedicated rescue service.

Today, that commitment continues from our Huntsville station, which is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
