* The Huntsville-Madison County Rescue Squad, Inc., participated in the Huntsville Bi-Centennial Parade held in downtown Huntsville on Saturday, August 6th. After the initial line-up and procession past the viewing stand, a call came out for a possible entrapment and the crew discretely excused themselves from the parade line-up. Perhaps you caught a glimpse of them on Channel 31!

* A call came out Sunday evening, August 7th to assist a stranded boater on the Tennessee River. The squad deployed the Bass Tracker & crew along with HEMSI's pontoon boat to locate the stranded boaters and pull them back to the dock. Deploying from Ditto, the Rescue Squad crew coordinated with the HEMSI boat and the folks were located (by HEMSI) and pulled back to Ditto. A potential water rescue/emergency was averted by the joint effort!
